A suspected DUI driver made a mess of Glassell Street at Walnut Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
The man, driving northbound, crashed into a bus stop, fire hydrant, and a tree leaving a geyser and debris all over the street and the front yards of nearby homes.
Chapman University Public Safety Officers were in the immediate area and heard the crash and stopped to assist.
Orange Police Officers arrested the man for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries by City of Orange Firefighters. The Firefighters also shut down the water flowing from the completely sheared fire hydrant.
