MAN STRUCK WHILE CROSSING STREET IN HEAVY RAIN

A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a car while crossing the street in heavy rain around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday night. The man was crossing Glassell Street near Collins Avenue in Orange and may have been outside a crosswalk. 

Orange Firefighters transported the victim to UCI Medical Center by ambulance. The driver of the car that struck him remained at the scene and was interviewed by police.

Police are asking anyone that may have witnessed the incident to contact Orange PD.
