ACCORDING TO THE CITY OF ORANGE FIRE DEPARTMENT;
“Shortly after 1:30 a.m., Orange City Fire Department responded to a commercial fire in the 2300 block of N. Batavia Street.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions involving a large pallet yard with exposure threats to nearby commercial buildings. Due to the size and complexity of the incident, additional resources were requested, resulting in a 3-alarm response.
Crews remain on scene conducting firefighting operations and extinguishing hot spots. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area as operations continue.
